Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
You recently received an email from the University of Illinois notifying you that Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is now available to protect your direct deposit of student refunds.
Using 2FA requires your NetID and password plus a generated code from a device that you have set up as your second factor. 2FA provides security beyond your password. To start using 2FA to protect your refund please complete the following steps:
- Visit UI Verify https://verify.uillinois.edu/ to get more information about 2FA and register for the first time. You must be on campus to enroll in 2FA. For assistance enrolling in 2FA from off-campus, call your campus help desk shown at the bottom of https://verify.uillinois.edu.
- After registering for 2FA be sure to activate Two Factor Authentication for direct deposit at this link: http://go.uillinois.edu/2fa-student-optin
